Becoming a yoga instructor has been a long-standing aspiration for Marisa, and now, with this opportunity in Whitehorse, Yukon she is excited to share her extensive knowledge and passion. Marisa creates a space that truly feels open to everyone, whether you're just starting your yoga journey or have been practicing for years. I love the variety of classes and times offered, which makes it easy to fit yoga into a busy schedule. Each class is thoughtfully guided, with options and modifications for all levels, so you always feel supported and encouraged to grow at your own pace. Marisa has a unique ability to challenge you while keeping the environment positive and inclusive. I've noticed real progress in my practice, both physically and mentally, thanks to Marisa’s classes!"

-Krista Magee, Yoga Practitioner

"I was looking for prenatal yoga in Whitehorse and a friend of mine suggested Marisa’s Vinyasa Foundations class since it’s pregnancy friendly. I went throughout my second trimester and now into my third trimester!! Highly recommend!!"

-Hayli Deans, Prenatal Yoga Practitioner

"I am so glad I discovered Summit Yoga this spring! Marisa's flow classes have helped me establish a more routine yoga practice and I always look forward to going. Her cues are easy to follow and she provides options for the poses, making her classes accessible to both beginner and experienced yogis. I love the variety of classes and recently tried her hot yoga classes she runs in a local greenhouse - that was definitely a first for me, and a beautiful place to practice! It has been easy to fit yoga into my schedule. The website for booking works well and is easy to use. I have brought several friends to Marisa's classes and they all really enjoy them, often becoming regulars themselves :) Thanks Marisa!!"

-Sandra Milliken, Yoga Practitioner

"Marisa's yoga classes have been such a great addition to my life! She has a really calm, easy going presence which adds to an enjoyable yoga experience. I love her stretch/yin class as well as the flow class. I love the venue at Decora as well. The greenhouse flow classes this summer were an absolute delight (although I don't want to tell too many people about them so that I don't have to compete for a spot next year;)). Highly recommend!"

-Leah Berman, Yoga Practitioner

About Live4theRush

Live4theRush brings over a decade of shared experience recreating and working in the ski industry, grounded in a strong commitment to mountain safety, education, and public outreach.

Our journey began in Revelstoke, British Columbia in 2015, where we met during a splitboarding avalanche course, an experience that sparked a mutual passion for backcountry travel, snow safety, and the foundation of our long-standing collaboration.

The Yukon has since become our longest-standing home since 2019, and the heart of our professional identity. It’s here that we began incorporating snowmobiling into our winter recreation and expanding our reach into remote terrain. Over time, we’ve built strong relationships recreating and working with the local snow and avalanche safety community, delivering public avalanche talks / workshops, and helping foster a culture of safe, informed backcountry travel in the North.
